It has been quite awhile since BBpics Photography has updated this blog. During the past two plus years BBpics Photography has been traveling coast to coast and various points in between working with fitness individuals doing fitness photography photoshoots. Stay tune as this blog will be slowly updated to all the travels of BBpics Photography.
Once again in 2013 BBpics Photography will be at the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, OH helping out vendor Michael Adams of Steelstretch Sports Apparel, http://www.steelstretch.com. “…I am a Paleo (“Caveman Diet”) Coach. I have helped many transform their bodies with my training and Paleo coaching. I’ve been mentored in Paleo from the best and pass along my unique blend of knowledge and experience on to those I collaborate with. And as a model of my commitment to Paleo, I competed in my last bodybuilding competition on a Paleo competition diet and won! My next challenge is to pursue my pro card in natural bodybuilding, and doing so as an athlete representing the Paleo solution.
As a personal trainer, my philosophy is to get results fast! I don’t believe in exercises that “look cool” but are actually less effective, let alone dangerous for novices. With much experimentation and experience, I know what the body can do (naturally) and how to manipulate diet and exercise to achieve the desired results. There is no obstacle or stage my clients will go through that I haven’t myself! I suppose my background in education and coaching innately pushes me to teach clients what do, and more importantly, why.”

Summer – 2011
BBpics Photography will continue to update this blog with on location photoshoot travels that occurred in 2011 as the new year begins with two trips this Winter planned to Palm Beach, FL. BBpics Photography can escape the cold winter Yankee North for sunny/warm south Florida and await all you “local doers!”
Back to Kansas now. Thanks to new “doers” Andrea and Quinn for inviting BBpics Photography once again to Lawrence to work with them doing their fitness portfolios. Locals Cameron, Ben and Zach was pleasure once again working with you guy. Thanks Zach for arranging the gym access and Dan Freed was nice seeing you again my old friend during the visit. There is a good group of ”local BBpics doers” base in Lawrence. BBpics Photography looks forward in 2012 to work with these “doers” once again and meet new fitness individuals that aspire to be “BBpics fitness photoshoot doers!”
BBpics Photography while shooting Matt “The Beast” Ogus in early July had the opportunity to work with several other local “recurrent doer” clients Tim Valencia and Cindy Angelsberg. BBpics Photography always enjoy working these two serious fitness individuals. Newcomer Mr. Ali Zidani was recruited by Matt and Tim from the Venice Beach board walk and joined in the shoot with the other models one day in Malibu. Good friend John King who has helped BBpics Photography recruit local interested male fitness guys/bodybuilders joined us also during a day shoot in Malibu. Another newcomer “recruit” Denzo Rey recruited by Tim and Matt joined BBpics Photography in Santa Monica Beach for a day shoot as well. Lastly, long time BBpics Photography client/Los Angeles personal trainer/fitness model and competitor Tony Morris asked BBpics Photography to photo/video a beach workout session at the Santa Monica Beach with his client/girlfriend. It was nice to see you again Tony!

From a post on his Youtube Channel to the beaches of Los Angeles it was a year in the making but BBpics Photography finally got the chance to show this natural competitive champion bodybuilder what it meant to be a “BBpics Doer!” A week out from his contest Matt worked over 3 days of physique fitness natural light mainstream photography with BBpics. Of course our hotel room was filled with coolers of food and water. The smell of fish, chicken and brown filled our room for days. Necessary fuel to “feed the bodybuilder beast” as he prepared for days of photoshooting and his upcoming contest. Matt Ogus was generous enough to make travel and lodging arrangements for BBpics Photography for these multiple days of shooting from the beaches of Malibu to Santa Monica/Venice. It was during the time shooting and chillin out that BBpics Photography was given the name “The Captain”. It was a collaborate effort by Matt Ogus and new “doer” Ali Zidani which we recruited right off the Venice Beach boardwalk one day. The “inside line” during those multiple days of shooting with Matt and fellow BBpics client Mr. Tim Valencia was..”is he a BBpics doer?” Matt certainly enjoyed himself during this shoot with all the Vlogs he did on location of various things and individuals that caught his interest. National level bodybuilder Eli Blahut was a good sport allowing BBpics Photography and Matt to do pics/vids of him right off the beach. Thanks again Eli!
There will be another post showing images of Tim Valencia, Cindy Angelsberg and new “doer” Ali Zidani later. Special shout out to having the opportunity to do some images with Mr. John King. Mr. King has been supportive in referring local interested “doers” to BBpics over the years. Keep on referring those prospective “new doers” John.
BBpics Photography had the opportunity to visit the central Michigan city of Lansing this past Summer. Thank you for BBpics current client Matt Malcangi introducing me to the lastest new “doer” Scott Olney who made the travel and accommodations possible for this visit from BBpics Photography. On the shoot from Indiana we were joined by Scott and Chris and from Michigan new local Joe and long time client Matt Recknagel. BBpics Photography had the pleasure to shoot Matt Recknagel and Scott Olney at Matt’s new gym Intermixfitclub in Wixom, MI. Images/videos of Matt and Scott were done at this location. BBpics Photography also would like to thank Matt Malcangi, personal trainer at Powerhouse Gym, Dewitt, MI for arranging gym access at that facility as well. The weather was not perfect many hours of clouds, even some rain mixed in with some sun. It was certainly a challenge for models and the photographer, but, everyone worked well together as a team. Enjoy the resulting images/videos from this trip to Lansing. BBpics Photography even got a change to do a little touring of the Michigan State campus in Lansing that weekend. Epic!
Happy Holidays and A Happy New Year Everyone! Time to once again catch up on all the past photoshoots BBpics Photography was busy during calendar year 2011 at various locations from SoCal/LA to Florida. Stay tune and thank you for your patience. It has surely been a busy traveling/photoshoot year for BBpics Photography.
BBpics Photography had the opportunity thanks to my gracious host/friend Big John Quinlan to travel to Miami to be a part of Universe Weekend. BBpics Photography is very proud of Mr. Quinlan and all the other athletes that competed during the weekend. It was nice seeing old “BBpics Doers and introducing new prospective “doers” to the outdoor mainstream fitness marketable publishable imagery of BBpics Photography. Passing out business cards, taking on the various shows during the weekend and going around being like a “fitness paparazzi” was most enjoyable experience.
Lastly, a shout out to Lou Zwick and the Musclemania organization for once again putting on a class act event. Keep up the good work Lou in 2012.

ics Photography as one of its guests during a late June weekend. Local Brandon was joined by Matt, Matt R and Alex for a two day shoot around this historic city. We did some shooting in the local university basement gym as well as some of their athletic facilities. It was hot with high humidity the guys were air brush sprayed and dieted down. We all survived the local weather conditions for a memorable mainstream, marketable, non over edited fitness images with BBpics Photography. Thank you everyone.
